Mating in Captivity – Esther Perel on relationships and sexuality

It’s that loving time of the year again 🙂 For anyone who has loved, loves or wants to love… Here is a Valentine’s present!

My summary of a great book I read recently, Mating in Captivity by Esther Perel, can be easily replaced by this interview to the author.

Esther Perel talks about desire, relationships, marriage, monogamy (or lack of), commitment, divorce, families, routine, intimacy, choice, societies… Her views are worth listening to by anyone in a relationship, and out of one!

Relationships are complicated but also very fulfilling, we seek them yet we avoid them at times. Like The Corrs sings:

“Everybody’s searching for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Everybody’s hurting for intimacy
Ooh ooh ooh ooh”

…so if you have some free time this holiday, relax and enjoy of some interesting insights from this renowned therapist.

xx Happy Valentine’s Day xx

If you are keen to learn more, her book below is also 100% recommended!
